There are some weddings that stay with you long after the day is over and Brook and Alex’s wedding at The Bower Estate is one of them.

Surrounded by low-hanging clouds and soft rain, their day took on a beautifully moody, romantic atmosphere that felt like it was pulled from the pages of a storybook. Set against the lush backdrop of the Gold Coast hinterland, Brook and Alex said their vows in front of their closest family and friends, wrapped in mist and love.

What made this day even more special to me was having photographed Brook before—as a bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding. Being invited back into their lives to now capture Brook as a bride was incredibly meaningful. There’s something truly special about watching a family grow and evolve, and being trusted again to document those important milestones is a privilege I never take for granted.

Brook and Alex share such a quiet, grounded love, and it was reflected in every part of their day. From the intimate ceremony to the heartfelt speeches, the celebration was full of emotion and genuine connection. Their family is one of the kindest I’ve had the pleasure of working with warm, welcoming, and full of joy which made the experience all the more memorable.

The rain didn’t dampen the day at all. In fact, it added a layer of intimacy and depth to the photos that I absolutely love. The soft light and misty mountains created an ethereal quality that perfectly matched the calm, romantic energy between Brook and Alex.
