Cassandra and Brad’s wedding day at Goonoo Goonoo Station had everything you could dream of! Sunshine, romance, breathtaking scenery… and just a touch of chaos to keep things memorable.
What began as a perfect day took a dramatic turn moments before the ceremony. The sky darkened, the wind picked up, and it was clear a storm was rolling straight toward us. There was that unmistakable feeling—a collective deep breath—hoping the weather would hold on just a little longer.
And amazingly… it did.
The ceremony went ahead, heartfelt and beautiful, with Cassandra and Brad exchanging their vows just as the first raindrops began to fall. Then, as if on cue, the heavens opened. For 30 full minutes, it was complete mayhem—umbrellas flipping, people running for cover, the kind of storm that becomes a wedding-day legend.
But just as quickly as it arrived, the rain passed.
The clouds lifted, the air softened, and then the magic happened: not one, but two rainbows stretched across the sky. It felt like the universe was celebrating right alongside them.
With the storm gone, we were gifted the most beautiful light and time to wander through Goonoo Goonoo’s stunning grounds. The gardens were bursting with colour, and the architecture rich with history and character, created endless backdrops. Everywhere we turned felt like a perfect scene, and we were truly spoiled for choice.
As the evening set in, the energy shifted from dramatic to joyful. Inside the Glasshouse, surrounded by the glow of family and friends, Cassandra and Brad danced their hearts out. The rest of the night flowed effortlessly! Laughter, music, and moments that will be talked about for years to come.
Despite the storm, or maybe because of it, the day felt even more special. A little bit wild, beautifully imperfect, and completely unforgettable, just like the best love stories.
